Home is Where Hospice Helps
Most patients with Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance receive hospice services at no cost; a sliding fee scale is available for those with no coverage.

Hospice is a healthcare choice that offers comfort and dignity to people who have a life-limiting prognosis. To enhance quality of life, hospice focuses on alleviating physical symptoms and providing emotional and spiritual support. Hospice embraces not only the patient, but also family and friends with an interdisciplinary team approach.
The majority of hospice services are provided in the patient's home environment, whether that is a private residence, assisted living, or nursing facility. Abbey Hospice has a freestanding inpatient facility located in Social Circle. There are thirteen beds which are available for short term pain and symptom management and respite stays.
Hospice brings together nursing care, home health aides, counselors, chaplains and volunteers to assist the family in caring for their loved one.
